About
This is the story about a man who is about to ram his head into a cinder block wall, repeatedly. Best part is, he’s probably not the only one doing it. What he’s going to do is try and write a flash fiction story for every day between November 1, 2010 until November 1, 2011. He will try to make them GOOD. He will not try to experiment at the cost of GOODness. Beware, there will probably not be many entries under a hundred words. Hell this about is almost over a hundred words.
In fact the author thinks he should write a bit more just to make sure he goes over a hundred words. He also likes writing in third person without proper nouns.

A piece everyday… a bold, but noble idea!
P.s. ‘because the Internet needs less substance’… love that and will be sure to read your posts at least weekly.
Good luck on your writing quest, sir!

I just found you through Almost Out of Ink–what a task you’ve set for yourself. Since I’m a fan of Flash Fiction I’d like to come visit regularly and cheer you on if you don’t mind. Have fun with this project!

I really love this as an idea! I’m a big fan of setting myself goals like this, although I do always tend to not manage to keep them up.
Then again, I’ve set myself the target of completing one piece of fiction every month. I leave things in unfinished states far too often, and this goal was to counteract that. I think that allowing myself to include flash posted on my blog saves me!
Thanks for the comment; I look forward to reading through more of your stuff.

Neat idea. I’ve only committed to doing it weekly on my site. Every day seems like a lot of work. I hope you accomplish your goal!

Ok. I have to ask- How long does it take you put one of these stories together? They all seem unique and it’s always a different theme- where do they all come from? My imagination could never keep up with this challenge! Well done!

About an hour, but it has to be the right hour. It’s like skateboarding, all the skill is in the reflexes, you just write it, read out loud, rewrite it, ship it off.

I wondered if it was a fly by the seam of your pants type of process. I should try that. So when do you fit in the over-thinking and self deprecation?

The question is really how do I fit the writing in?

That’s a good idea- 365 flash fiction in a year. It has a good ring to it. Wish you all the best.

So you’re not doing any more?

I keep trying and if I have anything, I’ll post it but the year is over. I feel pretty happy that was able to do it but it was surprisingly taxing. I’ll check my backlog, maybe soon I’ll have something.
